NPDA Tournaments
This is a page in process. We’re working on moving the past archives to the new site. In the meantime, we have links to the old pages at Bethel. This page will be updated with progress on the move.
The National Parliamentary Debate Association is the largest intercollegiate debate association in the United States. Member schools engage in two-on-two debate, with the resolutions (or topics) changing for each round of competition.
Tournaments and how to get a tournament on the list:
To have a tournament count for NPDA points, the tournament must be sanctioned. Sanctioning involves three elements:
- submitting the tournament sanctioning form
- becoming an NPDA member
- and having the tournament approved by the Executive Secretary.
The 2009-2010 list of parli debate tournaments can be found on the executive secretary’s subsite. For those looking for a combination parli/individual events list, please check the National Forensic Association site.
Results:
The NPDA has results available from the past several years: there may be some glitches in past years, but these are in the process of being resolved.
